The Boat(s)
Dive San Carlos by Paragon Dive Group does not have our own boat, and we think this is for the best! We charter the dive boats of two of the local operators based on the needs of our customers to provide you with the customer service you deserve. The two boats we currently use are a 46′ (Ocean Spirit) and 36′ (Piesquita) Newton custom dive platform. This allows us to focus on the important things like showing you everything the Sea of Cortez has to offer in San Carlos and the surrounding areas. Both boats we charter are custom built Newton dive platforms. They are designed from the ground up for diving. One is 36′ long and comfortably carries 16 divers and the other is 46′ long and comfortably carries 24 divers. By utilizing the existing operators we are helping to support and promote the local diving businesses already existing in San Carlos. Our goal is to support the local economy and show as many people as possible how great the diving is.

The Sites
San Carlos, Mexico has a ton of unique dive sites. We break them down into two categories “coastal sites” and “the island” both main areas have incredible diving and are extremely diverse. Now with the new Sonoran Artificial Reef System (SAAS) we have 4 wrecks to dive with another 5 on the way. This means that by the end of 2026 there will be 9 wreck dives and an underwater military museum for you to explore on your SCUBA diving adventure.
Most of the coastal sites are a 15-30 minute boat ride from the Marina. The wrecks that are part of SAAS are only 10 minutes away! The transit to the island for the Sea Lions and marine mammals take around 1.5-2 hours each way. Depending on your unique interests our team of professionals will tailor the sites we dive based on your groups or individual wants and needs. There is really something for everyone diving in San Carlos – Guaymas. From shallow water great for SCUBA training to 330’+ for the most advanced technical divers and everything in between we have you covered. Even after all these years we are still finding amazing new things and our favorite sites!
